Finca Flichman Tanguero, Mendoza Unoaked Chardonnay, Argntina, 2023

Pale yellow in colour, this Chardonnay has a fresh and fruity nose with notes of pineapple, pear and lemon zest. These ripe aromas carry through onto the palate, mingled with flavours of white stone fruit and balanced by a dry, refreshing acidity.

Grapes for the Tanguero wines were picked from the Barrancas region in southern Maipú, Mendoza. The vines here are planted on rocky, well-draining soils to the south of the Mendoza river, at 700 metres above sea level. The vineyards are located at high altitudes, which extends the growing season and helps to retain freshness and finesse in the wines.

The hand-picked grapes were crushed, pressed and then fermented in stainless-steel tanks. This was over a period of 20 days at a controlled temperature of 16ºC to preserve freshness and enhance the primary fruit characteristics. No malolactic fermentation and no oak ageing
