All barrel-fermented (30% new French oak plus older barrels), but with well-integrated oak flavours, it displays a terrific melding of cream, lime and toast flavours.
From vineyards at the very top of the valley, cooled by breezes and the cloud attracted to the nearby Babylonstoren peak, now crafted by John Seccombe (of Thorne & Daughters), the Des Dieux Chardonnay has become one of our best-loved wines.
