On clay soils; and aged only in older barrels. Perfume of cassis; and that same, seductive cassis quality (which Franz says derives from the vineyard) permeates the wine, combined with ripe raspberry, strawberry and red cherry flavours. Gorgeous palate, fresh and youthful but also showing almost Pinot Noir-like aromatics. Long finish, with lasting red fruit.
