Chateau Branas Grand Poujeaux, Les Eclats de Branas, Moulis, 2019

A very classic expression of Moulis. Based on a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon there is dark fruit here in abundance. Blackcurrant and black cherry flavours fill the palate. Some spiciness is also apparent along with a hint of woodsmoke and graphite. Tannins are present but melt away with food. This is showing very nicely now but will continue to evolve over the coming years. A wine that truly shows what a classy vintage 2019 was

The vinification process took place in good conditions, with alternating pumping over, punching down, and rack and return. Post-fermentation maceration brings richness and volume to the already harmonious wines.
